SUBARU

I'm from Alaska, so I've ridden in and driven a Subaru or two. Alright, two Foresters a Loyale and a GL. Still, I've got a soft spot in my heart for 'em. I'm required by law to.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI....RENTAL CAR

You can rent this motherfucker. That's right. It's expensive, about $200 a day. But I think that's because they're expecting you to thrash it. Same for the Evo. I don't know if I could decide.

Here's the Subaru all by it's lonesome. Well, there's...is that a Toyota Fielder...next to it. But that ain't proper company.

Subaru Vivio Bistro

All the Kei manufacturers have their basic Kei car, and they mostly have to have, it seems, some older European-looking variant with a vaguely Italian-sounding name. This one is the "Bistro." I don't think it's nearly as charming as the Mira Gino...with that criminally sloped hood, it just doesn't do anything for me.Perhaps if it didn't look so 60s forward of the front wheels and so 80s from there back, I'd like it better.

The Vivio was replaced in 1998 by the Pleo as Subaru's basic Kei car.

Subaru Legacy B4

I'm not normaly a fan of spoilers...I think they look stupid, most of them are designed so they won't provide any down force beyond their own weight, and probably won't decrease drag at the rear, either, and even when they ARE done right, they aren't doing anything 99 percent of the time the car is being driven.

But I like this one, I don't know why. I'm pretty sure it's aftermarket. Never seen another like it.

Now we get the Legacy (Liberty, to you Australians) in the US. I dunno...I can't find a definitive answer online. Is the B4 the same as the US Legacy GT?

Subaru R1

I'm not sure what the aim of this Kei car is. To harken back to the Subaru 360? Maybe it's intended to compete with the Smart?

It does have that baffling "aviation inspired" grill.

Subaru Pleo

Subaru's main Kei offering from 1998 to present. Now in cop-car form!

Subaru Rex

Would any of you boy-racer dicks who call your WRXes "Rex" be caught dead driving something like this? I don't know about you but I probably would. Anyhow, it's a W...R...X. Not a Rex. This is a Subaru Rex.

Obviously just another basic Kei car.

Tommy Kaira Impreza

I'm not sure what the difference is. It says Tommy Kaira on it. Check out the website...the new Tommy Kaira impreza looks SEXY. WAY better than the stock front end. Anyhow, this was always the best looking generation of Impreza.

I really didn't get that many Subarus, did I? On to Suzuki.
