STUFF I DONE DRAWED

This was the first really good drawing I did, using three point perspective. It took me around 40 hours.
1994

This is a person I made the aquaintance of in New York, at Model UN. It was the first portrait I'd drawn in ages
2000

This is another portrait of a friend of mine from when I was in Japan
2002

This is my ex-girlfriend from Japan, at Osaka Castle in Sept 2001.
2003

This drawing isn't much special, except that from this I got the idea for the next few, which led to my favorite rendering style.
1999

This is a highly photoshopped version of the first good drawing I did of this creature.
1999

This is the first drawing I did in this high-contrast, shiny black and white style.
1999

Here I further refined the technique.
1999

I later did something similar to my dorm room in Japan. This pattern wraps around over 3/4 of the room. It is continuous even behind the wardrobe. This took over 2 weeks.
2000

I hadn't drawn in this style in a little while, so I decided to give it a go again. A Maxx-esque pose here.
2001

Yet another revisitation to that style after a long break. I hadn't drawn like this in a while because it's hard to find a subject that works.
2004

I had a mental image of a tree which just sort of was a big spongy mass that branched and merged with itself.
2005

The same image, colored with watercolors.
Maybe I was thinking of my mom's neighbors?
2005

Doing something similar, but this time with the black and white rendering style.
2005

Another less well-planned version, but which when sprayed with laquer, turned out kind of nice.
2005

This was the mascot for my Korean class at DLI, created by LCpl Mastronardi. But my drawings were better.
2003

The Shintokki drawings got me on this path towards drawing monsters with huge eyes and gaping jaws. (But there were some before it)
2005

This is perhaps the most complex image I have ever made. Every line was drawn over in ink 4 times so that I wouldn't lose track of them through the layers of color.
2005

This was a quick drawing on a postcard on mids. The rendering style is similar to that of a drawing I did in Japan which I have no access to at the moment.
2005

Three (look closely) monstrous dinosaur-things eating each other.
2005

Later on came Angora Shintokki. See there were these angora rabbit pics...and...
2003

Another iteration of Angora Shintokki
2003

See, he's not all fire-breath and bloody fangs.
2003

This is kind of an in-joke. I thought of the caption after I started work on this the third fat cannibal drawing.
2005

Waste not want not.
2005

Say, can you tell me what time it is?
2005

I had a cheap Microtek scanner which had some weird artifacts. Except for the scanlines (horizontal) and the eyes, this image is completely unretouched.
2000

This image was probably a precursor to my shiny-b&w style. I think it's obvious that I was still reading american comics then. The head is actually an image of a real fossil skull.
1996

I wanted to try and get some of the same look as the Dinictus image with this one.
2001

This really doesn't connect to anything. Just an idea I had. I think I pulled it off fairly well, and apparantly those circle-jerking nerds at Elfwood agreed.
2000

Yet another attempt to find an excuse to use that style.
2000

I was obsessed with Phantasy Star 2 for a while. This is the best image to come out of that obsession.
2000

I don't have a lot of good memories of Fairbanks. This was one of the less...grating moments.
2000

I kept coming up with new ideas for postcards. The space suit is loosely based on a real Russian suit.
2005

For a few years I was really obsessed with Aliens.
1995

The Juche-powered super-sub!
2005

Just one of the better random drawings I did. No real connection to anything.
1999

I don't just do human portraits.
2003

1999-2000, the years I couldn't stop playing G Darius and Darius Gaiden
2000

Nice doggy. Just realizing an idea I had which I though was kind of funny.
1999

My friend Wei, from a photo she sent me.
2004

The new guy at work. (June)
2005

Cannibal graverobber barbecue. Best colored pencil work I've ever done.
2005
This is what real men do for a living.
2005
I hadn't done one of these in a while. The cool thing about this is, it repeats seamlessly.
2005

I was trying out my new markers
2004

Just had an idea in my head and ran with it, cause I had nothing else to do. Yes, I did mail this.
2004
